Hintertux - Pre-Season Training
July 3rd 2014
I have been training in Hintertux for a few days.  It has been raining a lot in the village but it is snowing on the glacier, sometimes - a sort of fine "drizzle" of snow that you can feel on your face as you are skiing down the hill.

I have found it useful to get to use my new skis - Volkl has radically changed the look of their skis this year which is unusual because, since I have used Volkl, they have only ever made very slight changes.

I have also been doing fitness training - running, hiking, playing hockey etc after the on-hill training. Being at altitude is a great bonus to my dry-land training.

Back home on Saturday for a bit more school and I am doing a presentation at the school Sports Awards evening on my Olympic experience.  Then I am coming back to Austria for a few more weeks of training.
