On November 7^th I joined up with the FIS Development squad and I began my training on the Stubai Glacier in Austria.  The squad is fully-funded and I am training with Italian coaches selected by FIS, alongside girls from Serbia, Slovakia, Israel, Hungary, Greece, Estonia, Latvia and Cyprus.  On my first day of training I bumped into Phillippa Baxter and her Dad on the hill.

After a week training in Stubai we have moved on to Pfelders in Italy where we are preparing for 2 GS races.  The training hill is just outside the hotel and one lift takes us up to the start which runs alongside the race hill.  So we get really fast turnaround times and loads of time in the gates - especially since there are no holiday makers about at the moment to hinder us.   I was really happy to see Buchie (Laurence Buchweiser) here, who I haven't seen for ages.  We have been training really hard so it will be interesting to see how the races go.
