Dunedin & Otago Peninsular |
August 25th 2013 |
Two days off!! We went to see the Penguins at the Otago Peninsular near Dunedin - they didn't disappoint. We walked about 1km down a coast path (spotting seals on the way) to the partly-buried hides were we were almost nose-to-nose with endangered Yellow-Eyed penguins. A relaxing weekend including a trip to the Cadbury Chocloate factory which is a mini version of the one we have in Birmingham and the Settlers Museum which I did not find as interesting! After a 3 hour plus drive back to Wanaka I am ready to resume training tomorrow morning. |
